This is a 30 percent increase over the revenue earned in the last financial year. The Q1 and Q2 have together shown a growth of around 18 percent over the same period last year and have achieved Rs. 13 crores revenue in the region.
Speaking on the occasion Managing Director, Intex Technologies, Narendra Bansal said, "Maharashtra is an important location for Intex. We believe in expanding our reach to our desired customers by entering the niche areas of demand. The new range of products is an initiation to achieve this goal. This will expand our existing categories and enable our buyers the choice of quality and value purchase."
The company has been performing well in the Maharashtra region through its branches at Mumbai and Pune and exclusive service centres in Navi Mumbai, Waghol, Nagpur and Nasik. As a part of its aggressive growth plans, Intex aims to expand in B&C cities, such as Wardha, Chandrapur, Yavatmal and Gondia to name just a few.

To cater to increasing demands from Jalna and Jalgaon, Intex is establishing service centres at Amaravati and Aurangabad. Five resident sales executives (Nagpur: 03, Nasik: 02) are already in the region and more are going to be positioned in Kolhapur and Aurangabad by end of this financial year.
Intex has a network of 90 channel partners in Maharashtra. Intex aims to expand the same from 90 to 120 in the current year. The company is also fortifying its brand building initiatives by associating itself as sponsors for major cricket events like Champions Trophy and World Cup- 2007 on Sony group of channels.
Intex has unveiled a slew of products, in the city, including three models of DVD players; MP3 & MP4 players; 19" TFT- LCD Monitor; USB MP3 FM Modulator and flash drive - UFD 512 Slim.
The existing models of DVD players distributed by the company include P-30, R-15 & R-25. The new offerings aim to broaden the choices for movie buffs who have an inclination for quality home entertainment.
Intex DVD Player R-35, R-45 & R-75, is 5.1 channel players with Dolby Digital output. Intex R-45 is the only DVD player in the market, which has been designed with USB, RF and Game Port. It comes with a MOP of Rs. 3590/-. With RF, Amplifier and mike for karaoke, Intex R-35 comes enclosed in metallic body at an MOP of Rs. 3540/-. The USP of Intex R-75 is its ability to operate both on AC and DC supply. It is available at an MOP of Rs. 3790/-.
